Default difference in front and rear wheels

Does anyone know what the differences are on the front and rear wheels/rims for the 84-99 generation of softails? After a near death experience last summer I'm converting the cable drum front on my '65 pan to dual hydro discs. I have already purchased all the parts (fork sliders, rotors, calipers, axle, rim, controls), but won't be back home to mock it all up until the new year. Are the two different? Are they interchangeable? The only stamps on the rim are:
CMD-1-84 - Made in Italy – 43086-81

Thanks guys

Dang, I thought it a little suspicious when I bought the rim that it was a dual flange but only one rotor mounted. Looks like I'll be buying another rim, or learning how to lace up a new hub. Thanks brother.
