Ok so... wait... you're saying i SHOULD be riding it hard in first 500 miles? That goes completely against what they told me.
Thanks for the compliments! WHy remove the reflector?! And which frame stickers are we talking about? The guy said the sticker on the airbox uses heavy duty adhesive and it might not peel off easily!
Oh, I'll get the first 500 in this weekend, no worries there! But ugggh, under 3k rpms and udner 65. Tempting...
I too went from an '06 Dyna to my Lo. The difference is night and day.
Congrats.
Yes it is! Everything about this one feels "right"
So, was that guy correct when he said don't take it easy on the first 500 "break-in" period thing? Looked it up online seems a few other sources say the same... Thoughts from HD-folk?

Put it this way: It's a brand new Harley Davidson Fat Boy Lo that you're probably going to have for a very long time. Why risk something just for the sake of 500 miles????? Ride it easy for the first 500 miles as recommended, then ride how you want to afterwards. It can't hurt anyting. If you layed into it right away, you may damage something in the long term....for what? ....500 miles.
you only have to stay under 3k for the first 50miles than you take it up to 3500 untill 500miles. most important is to vary the load to help seat the rings.

It won't hurt anything, you want to set the rings early. Second it's under warranty now so if something happens (which it won't) it's covered
