If they over filled I'd for sure do both sides, not just one cause its leaking while Ur tearing into it.

If you do it yourself.............use a length of pvc pipe to tap the new seal in place

pvc pipe sounds like a good idea, thanks for the little trick. they always come in handy. thats what my original post was suppose to be about mainly finding out the little "tricks" that make the job easier. thanks

Do it yourself. The only tools you need are a huge socket to get the top caps off, a long hex wrench to remove the lower nuts, and a couple of pieces of pvc to set the seals. Instead of an impact wrench I just stick a large screw driver into the fender mount boss to keep the lower from spinning. You might as well replace all the bushings and stuff while you have it apart. Try the Screaming Eagle fork oil if you want to stiffen up the dampening a tad.

thx zoomie you all talked me into it. ya i`m going to replace it all while i`m in there. Always open to the suggestions of anyone with more know how than myself.
