Thanks guys for all the comments, If you guys want to do what Jay did, I would consider Road 6 bars, half the price of RSD and very good quality.
Goats, if you go to hardtailchoppers.com call and speak to John, he has the "D" notched inserts that he uses to create his bars.
Bars look good, like the style. I wanted to keep the blackline stock look by keeping two individual bars, it really limits the choices of bars though because they cant be tilted forward. If anyone else wants to go that route make sure you measure twice and buy bars once. I like the road 6 products I have the side mount plate bracket good looking stuff.
have been working on an ape design that the horizontal lower tube will curve around the speedo, while using pretty much any single post bar riser. I will post some pics of the design soon. If you have any ideas you would like to imcorperate into the bars feel free to say something.

why not just cut the bars at each riser so the middle/bottom section isnt in the way of the speedo, just fill/weld/cap the open ends for obvious reasons and tada you now have adjustable bars.....cant say how that would look but it would work and its fairly simple
Apes complete on my 2011 FXS. Road 6 Custom Bars, Custom Risers, Joker Machine Bar End Mirror, V&H Short Shots Staggered, Lapera Bare Bones Seat, Road 6 Custom License Plate Bracket, Soon to be Lowered front and rear with Burly Slammer Kit.
I got bars from hardtail choppers with said inserts on them and they didnt fit in the tree right and moved around no matter how tight I made em. Idk if this was ever corrected but I got the 16" highballs from australian burleigh bars. They are significantly more expensive and need to be shipped from au but they r very well made, wont move around at all. I had to do the job twice cuz I got the hardtail dukes. Extreme pain in the *** plus the burleigh bars are stainless.
