Someone else here bought a set of RSD apes, cut them apart and mounted them directly to the triple tree a while back. It was really cool but I cannot remember who it was. Gonna do a search to find it. It was xjayx. Jay, psot a link to your thread for these guys. You skills really made this mode special.

I dont remember if he finished posting his mods. But his idea was cool to keep it looking stock from what i remember.
xjayx did a great job on his....after seeing what he did i quit thinking about what bars i cant use and started thinking about what bars i really want.
personally i want to see what the stock base looks like so i can re-create it as i like to keep my stock parts even if they just sit in a box somewhere, otherwise i may have cut them up by now

Reason: forgot the first thought
i have the hd pullback bars for now....
but i am seriously considering cutting the stock bars just above speedo height, grinding a saddle joint in to the remaining lower portion of the bars, and then welding a set of apes to them.
instant bars with integral risers.
