Check out Roland Sands mini apes. I think they come in 1.25 so you can run the wires inside the bar. Your right about the beauty in the eye of the beholder thing. What one person likes on his bike another may hate. Check out RSD's site though.
Looks like your bike has a set of street slammers with hidden wires which to my eye is a very nice setup. But you're right, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it's your bike.
I don't think the bombays are going to make that much of a difference over the street slammers or the 8" pullbacks. You could go for the buckhorns the retired FXST used to have: http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photo...ilStandard.htm but I'm guessing you would need new cables. If you are changing cables then you can start looking through the catalogs, you have a world of choices then. Or go with your original idea and get the FXSTB pullback bar and riser kit if you don't mind the look. Like you said, Harley claims the original cables will work with that setup.
Wide_Open,
Am I wrong or do those and the ones I originally asked about(the ones you originally showed me) look very similar?
Thanx to you and to everyone for your input on this!
