Dang it I just spent 3 days making deliveries in the Jersey city/Elizabeth area. No offense to you NJ people but damn it is crazy trying to get around that place with hardly no left turns and most of the street signs are totally gone or so faded you cant read them.

Yea I know what ya mean.
No offense taken, I didn't design the system.
New jersey has gotta be the only place in the world where you have to make 2 right turns to make a left!
Ha ha !!! Same as San Francisco. I hate driving in that place.
On the other note. Love them fangs!! I left em on all year
this time.

I hate my fangs and windshield, that is I don't care for the look, but now days, they stay on all the time. Got soft in my old age and I like the comfort they provide.
i love my fangs. will not ride without them. windshield on or windshiled off...the headwind and buffetting are significantly reduced and the noise level also reduced. me and the old lady can have a normal conversation at 70mph. i painted mine black...to match my front end.
What did you use for paint? How is it holding up? I'm really not a big fan of the look, but I probably will get a pair for my Fat Boy Lo... the head buffeting is terrible since I put on my windshield.
I don't have a LO, but i put the fangs on my 07 FB. I didn't think i would like the look either, but after riding 5 minutes on the highway, i don't care how they look. They work like they're supposed to, and the looks of them grew on me to the point that they look pretty cool. to answer the OPs question in how they work. they block the wind coming up from between the fuel tank and windshield. if you haven't put them on yet and you have a eng guard, cruise down the highway and put your feet up on the top of the guard and position your foot towards the forks and you'll see/feel how it will divert the air around the tank..
