I have bought a side mount licence plate holder, but there seems to be no means of fixing it, is there a kit or something which will do the job please
all the best
That type is designed to replace a wheel spacer. It is a "fit all" and not a direct bolt on replacement. First you need to make sure it fits your axle size....most newer ones will fit 3/4 and 1 inch. You need to measure the thickness of the bracket and the spacer it is going to replace...chances are they will not be the same. You will have to get an additional spacer or stainless washers to make up the difference. After you have the correct parts, you will have to partially or completely remove the rear axle depending on which way it is installed....Good Luck
Tom hit it right on the head. You will need to play around with washers/spacers etc. It will not be direct fit but it is not all that complicated. I will look good when done!
