Default Best removable saddlebag

Hey, wanting to put some removable saddlebags on my '07 Night Train - looking for some suggestions from those of you who have used them. I've searched the forum, and haven't found anything from actual owners & why they chose that specific brand. I know there's a couple of options, but if you have one and don't mind sharing how you chose that over the others, and a price range, it would be appreciated. I'm going on a longer ride in Jan, and I'm going to need some bags for the ride, but don't want them on all the time, and would prefer to not spend a fortune.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Leatherworks / American Eagle leatherworks (I think Leatherworks is their supplier.. ie. leatherworks makes them) with easybrackets or any detach system.

Boss bags has their own detach system that looks pretty sturdy and the bags are well built, if a little pricey.

With barebacks or bubba's systems, you can also include HD's bags as well if you like to the list.

Ironbags are on order for mine (Iron Max style).. non-detach.. They look good enough to me to stay where they are and be stronger than a typical detach setup. I was into the quick detach thing but I found the times I didn't have the bags on, was when I needed some storage for something.. I'm just getting some great bags on there and leaving them. For washing the scoot, two or three bolts and they all come off, even baggers.

I went with bags from www.ospreylimited.com and really like them. They're reinforced so they don't collapse when empty, and came with Easybrackets and liners. Total cost was around $500, including the brackets. David custom makes these and will dress them up about any way you want, like braided piping, concos, fringe, whatever. If you click on the link on his website to view the slideshow, there are a couple of pics in there of my bike with the bags... '06 Heritage Softail, black cherry.

But if you want him to do you a set, better get on the phone. He had like a 4 or 5 week turnaround time when I got mine, but I'm very pleased with how they turned out!

I bought tourmaster saddle bags, cost $129.00 and their are no brackets to worry about.

I throw them on when I want to use them, if I were looking for something more permanent I'd get the HD bags with brackets.
