Default handlebar Risers

Has anyone installed risers on a fatboy? I was wondering if I could put 4 1/2" risers on without changing all the cables and front brake line. Also I'm not having a lot of luck locating longer cables. I've been looking around, but have only located stock ones so far. Another question would be about the handlebar wiring. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hey man. I slapped some 4" risers on my 2005 Fatboy with no trouble.
Cables had plenty of slack for the job - go for it!

By the way - you're going to love those risers.

I have 2 1/2 " risers but also put a set of Heritage handlebars on to pull it back a little more. Stock cables were about perfect.

I did the same thing by swapping out the bars to heritage bars with all stock cabling on my '04 Fatboy. I found upon comparison in the dealer's parts books that the cable assemblies between the Heritage and Fatboy (late model anyway) are the SAME part numbers.
So I found that the wiring is a 'little' tight reaching up to the switches but it worked with the Heritage bars and the ride position is great.

I do eventually want to hide the wiring through the bars, maybe going with a thick "Chubby" type of bars, so I'm thinking I'll probably have to go with some longer cables. From what I'm seeing it's a fun job because you have to remove the tank and go all the way back to get the end of the wires and do some switch dissassembly reassembly. Anyone have any pointers? Horror stories? tips?

srigas,
On finding longer cables, the H-D accessory catalog I think now actually has some longer than stock cables. If not, the dealer ought to be able to help you out.

Got any pics of that?
I'd like to see what they look like since I'm considering doing the same for my Fat Boy.
