Just not sure if I'll end up liking the duals on my bike (might just like them on someone else's ) wish they had them in a 25-28" too. But I also think if I don't get the duals I'll always want them.
What do you guys think.
drew It will be settled by the end of the week and I'll be ordering (thanks for the help)

Kozy,
I like the duals on your bike but agree with you that I think about 3 to 5 inches shorter than the 30" Samson would look better and be different than anyone else.
As far as looks go, there is no question that the true duals are better looking IMHO.
I've got V&H true duals on my bike, and a buddy has the Samsons you're looking at on his Softail. Almost no difference in gas mileage & perceived power avail (neither one of us have had 'em on a Dyno). His sound a little better (and I mean a little), but were $350 more.
Samsons have removeable baffles and the V&H don't, if you want to **** off the neighbors.
If you're stuck between the V&H BSS and the Samson Duals, my vote is for the Samsons.

I think you'd be happy either way.
How do they compare volume wise? I'm going with baffles either way maybe quiet if I go V&H
I used to work for a company that distributed both Samson and V&H. We had a lot of warranty issues with Samson pipes (they broke a lot.) Samson doesn't seem to stock many parts for pipes more than a year or two old, so lots of customers had to junk low-mileage pipes that had broken after a few years in use. Customers were also out of luck if they dropped the bike and needed just one heat shield. I've never had a problem getting parts for Vance & Hines pipes, and they don't seem to break nearly as often as the Samsons.
