I did the chrome exchange and replaced the 160 tire for Michelin 180 scorcher. It fit without any modification, contrary to some opinions. Looks great.

I had mine powder coated black. You can shoehorn a softail custom 17x6 rim in there with some modifications.

Old thread ...BUT those are bags that were made by HD specifically for the red headed step child (fits all except FXSTD) the Deuce....!! you can fit a 180 with a 18x 5.5" wheel and spacers.I think you can even fit it with the stock rear wheel IIRC. I havent done too much to mine in the last 4-5 yrs and most of it as far as anything other than engine components is mainly after mkt now.

I know of one company that makes some decent not as obvious looking quick release brackets for softails plus if your handy, mounting some full size hard RK bags I've seen mounted on Deuce as well. I opted for Tail Bag it suffices for single person weekend ride. I have a side mounted license plate holder and didnt want to go back to the mud flap OEM set up for the plate so I opted for the tail bag.

Those HD bags are around in limited amounts.Occasionally yu may find them for sale of ebay or other V-Twin bike forums, craigs list, offer up.

I found some when I was looking some were in great shape and some were salvage pieces from wrecks, some had no mounting hardware. Some possible revamping of passenger pegs also what pipes yu may be running all come into play with what bag and what size yu may be able to fit..

picture above is a chrome version of bracket mount. They want you to use small bags but as I mentioned I saw some at Daytona with full size RK bags.Blinkers were moved to flush mount HD LED bar type Blinkers on the back of the bags I had the Deuce luggage rack Too small a base or platform to really hang any regular intermediate size bag or duffel bag on it as it droops over the sides and isnt a good fit for other than a small 7"x7" box for squat!
