First off let me say 99% of the time I don't wear a helmet, but when the wife rides her own bike she likes to have a way to communicate. For the last 6 months I've been trying to find a decent 3/4 helmet to install my uclear Bluetooth which is a great product by the way. ( lets you talk with no mic)
The rockhard and novdot are the 2 best I found. Miles better than bell or daytona, at least for my head shape, Anyway the Novdot is way smaller and lighter then anything I've tried. The rockhard is a little nicer then the Novdot on the inside, but I see myself using the novdot way more. Here are some pics of both. The novdot is a little mushroomy, but way better then the rockhard. I want to try a losermachine, but can't find one to buy.
My Rockhard sits way lower on my head than that. Mine is a Large. A buddy of mine has a large NovDot. I tried it on and it IMMEDIATELY gave me a hot spot on my forehead....
No, I agree with you. The NovDot is a bit smaller, but for it to be comfy for me, I would have to get a XL, which then may be a little bigger shell, so it would be close to my Roackhard, if that makes sense.
Thanks for posting the pics. I was on the fence but I ordered the Rockhard. I wanted to try the Novdot but I had an Amazon giftcard so I went with the Rockhard instead. I've got the Daytona now but it's too loose and lifts at speed. I will probably pick up the Novdot if I'm not happy with the fit on the Rockhard. All DOT 3/4's look a little kookie compared to the old Buco's or similar helmets.
my RockHard is awesome..i never tried on the NovDot.. i ordered one, but after they were backordered for a month, i cancelled it and went with the RH.. no problems here with it
What size? Hows it fit? Pics? Their is a 17% off for forum members right now - hope you know about that. Have been very close to pulling the trigger on the Novdot. $19 shipping to Ca for a little box seems a bit pricey though.
You can't go wrong with either. The rockhard is made exceptionally well, it is just bigger and the way it fits me makes it look really big. The novdot is thinner and a little less sturdy, but fits like a glove and looks a thousand times better on my head. Just wanted to post pics incase some were on the fence. In my opinion it goes novdot>rockhard>............bell 500. have not tried the dot bitwell, but heard it was bulky.
