Hey fellows, I was wandering if dealer gonna give me any problem if i want them to install non SE cams?any of you have any experience with this how do they react?
Some are some not so. I did all my work myself, heck it's not rocket science. you just need some tools for the bearings and a days worth of time. You can do them in a couple hours but plan a day if you have never done it before
The service manager at my local dealer suggested that I install S&S cams in my bike. Heck, he even gave me the option of getting them myself or have them order them.
I actually ordered my andrews cams from my dealer as cheap as I could have got them from an online source. They were glad to order them for me and I installed them myself.
I wanted to increase my displacement to 95" and do new heads and cams. I think I may start with doing the cam myself and then look at other options with the rest of the motor down the road.
How much does the bearing puller tool cost? Can they be rented? Also, I have an SERT that came with the bike but I've never used it. Can I get a canned map for the bike or what would I have to do there?
