Default Question

I have commented on here about being out of riding for the past 8 years. I never stayed active in reading and looking because it was just to painful knowing I could not afford another bike and had to sell my last one to pay for Lawyers. So my question is, what is up with the wrapping of the tape around the exhauts system's? Is it just for a certain look, what that look is or is there also another reason as far as performance goes too? I don't know what that can be but I have learned a great deal as far as the advances in technology goes since I have been away from riding. I am still amazed at all that is out there for one to use on one's scooters, both in cosmetics and performance.

The original reason for tape was heat reduction. Would see it a lot around racing, of all sorts. Today , still used for heat, cover up damaged exhaust, or just a look of personal taste. Sorry to hear that lawyers got your bike. Lost bikes, house, retirement myself few years back to divorce, but with proper planning have rebounded well. Hope the same for you.

Yep, same thing, the big D but then I had to go back to court to get custody of my kids, thats what the scooter paid for. I hate to say this but it all worked out. I won and got custody of the kids, raised them, they just found the EX dead this past May so I got all my pension and 401k back because she had no will!! KARMA, it's a kick *** thing sometimes!!
