I no longer have Fatboy or V-rod, but picked up a 2012 Blackline. Love this bike. Reminds me of some of my 80's scooters. Found this great guy Raybowtieman that custom bends, welds, & powdercoats sissy bars. He didn't have one yet for the Blackline, so I sent him some measurements and he made the first one. He will be adding these to his store.
Store link Tophandventures .
He make bars for other models also. These are clean one piece units that go between the struts and fender. Now I can strap on a sissy bar bag, sleeping bag, etc. Old school look for the Blackline.
cant wait to see that on your bike, might help me decide how i want to go for my blackline....that shape is close to what i have in mind, its the height and angle i want to see
Have pics soon. He can also make one like any of the ones in his store:twisted, bracket for pad, different lengths, chrome or black powder coat, custom design, etc..
Here are five pics of the sissy bar. Great work. Perfectly symmetrical, perfect powder coat. It looks like it was made for the Blackline because it was. This is 16" above the fender. Different height and styles available.
I wanted 16" for my HD Leather messenger bag or to strap a jacket or sleeping bag to it. He can also add a bracket for a Harley Backrest pad if you want to spoil ur ol' lady.
