Did you feel a noticeable difference in vibrations when you replaced the top tree? I know the stock risers have the bushings since I've already replaced them with the poly style. Now I've got a stripped riser bolt.

The top plate from Carlini doesn't allow for use of bushings. My risers are mounted directly to the top plate.

Is there more vibration? Maybe a little bit, but nothing to get all excited about. Custom parts like this allow for previously un-had benefits, but they are not without drawback. The trade off is worth it for me though.

Default Springer Riser bolt

This is why I love this site. Just added 16" Apes to my bones, entered a construction zone at about 40 and hit a large change in the road. The bars moved a couple inches. Once I was able to get off the road, I tried to tighten the bars and the left riser bolt just spun, what a POS.
Thanks much for the Heli Coil suggestion, it will work until I get new Risers!

Can anyone tell me the thread size on the stock springer risers? Is it 1/2-13 or 1/2-20. I'm going to order new risers and want to make sure I get the right ones.
