Your bike looks great. I thought about doing the taller rim on mine also...changed my mind cause I've never been one for doing what alot of others do. You probably have more "meat" on the road with the 16" wheel.
your bike looks sweet as it is but like others said if u do decide to go bigger an 18 will prolly look better than the 21 IMO. but dont let anyone decide for you. If u really like the 21 inch then by all means do it and never look back
Honestly Dude? Leave it! I see so many bikes now going with the 21" and I am not knocking that, it's just not what a Deluxe is all about. There is a reason it is called the FLSTNI and that is nastalgia! Your bike looks so sweet as it is and looks like it is supposed to look! I think the wheel choices for us 16" guys are pretty limited compared to all the other wheels that are out there for all the other wheel sizes. I read where one guy said he had craigers back in the 80's, I wish I could find a craiger type wheel for my 16" wheels! Step back in time, leave it or go original. I guess if you have money where you can afford to play with, that makes a differance too but then you are also sacrificing how your scooter rides and handles too! I have to say I have not seen an ugly bike on here since I joined, they are all special in there own way, including yours but that is just my thought process and take on your bike. You have a pretty sweet ride, I don't think a 21 or 23 is going to make it ugly, no way! It's just going to make it something other then what it was made for and stands for. All this is just mho!!!
It's just a 'personal' choice pal! I like both styles but think with apes & a lowered look the 21 looks the best, with beach bars & standard ride height I prefer the 16. I went for the 16 as I was looking for a fat old skool kind of a look, no worries with obtaining white walls at 16 either?
Man now you guys got me thinking of staying with the 18" up front instead of going 21"
I think they all maid my mind up to probally gonna stay with what I gotyour bike looks awesome the way it is also wouldn't change a thing.also I had to copy your idea with turning the end caps on my bss.thanks looks better.lol
