can't decide if I wanna go with a 21" rim and tire. Here is what my bike currently looks like with the 16" 52 spoke on it .you guys be the judge leave it or change it.
I say leave it. When the big front rim fad passes, your bike will look dated, whereas the look you have now is timeless. You may even find yourself returning to the stock rims one day.
If you think that can't or won't happen, just remember how cool "spinners" were!
Utz: Looks pretty damn good as is.. But if I had to chose a wheel to put on, it would be an 18". It fills the fender nice, and adds some beef to the front end.
Leave it alone, keep them 16's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you must change out a perfectly fine wheel/look, let it be an 18 not a 21.
But I say keep it as-is
You have a beautiful nostalgia look going...but then you got gangster apes. Are you going to change other things to complement the 21 wheel style gangster look or would you be keeping everything the same? If no other changes then stay with what you have. If you are tired of the classic look and you want a more current set up then go for it.
Some day the 21in wheel fad may pass but for $400 bucks if it passes in 5 or 6 years then you had a cool look for little dough and if you keep the wheel you have now you can always go back.
I had Cragar SS wheels in the 80's...they are out of style now but I remember how bad *** it was back then and its some fond memories. Glad I did it.
