Ok, great. So it's not something that I am doing wrong or something being wrong with the bike. This is lowest bike that I have ever owned and I guess this is just one of the perks. Honestly it scared the poop out of me when it first happened but then I realized that someone had once said scraping the boards should be music to your ears. I don't know about that but its good to know what it's ok.

My 2000 Fatboy and I experience the same thing so I added a small block of metal bolted to the bottom outside rear corner of each board as a wear block to save the chrome.

I was draggin alot and it occured to me that I may be leaning the bike more than myself, so now I lean myself a little more than before and the bike a little less, doesn't happen nearly as often now.

I too lean my body more & the bike less. When I ride two up with the wife I put the back corners of the frame into the ashphalt fairly often. That's an eye opener!

Cheers,

We used to drag the boards on our Heritage too. Wasn't really happy doing it either. Just knew I was tearing something up!

Dragging stuff is all fun and games until you stick the floorboard bracket into the asphalt and you tripod.Bad things happen too fast.
