Default Softail windshields

Does anyone here know what the difference is in the windhshields for use with auxiliary lights and the windshield for use without auxiliary lights is...thinking it might just be the mounting hardware. Looking for a windshield that is 18" with black braces but MoCo only offers 18" with no auxiliary lights in polished only. Any ideas?

I'm just guessing, but the lexan may be cut differently.

I believe it refers to the mounting bracket not the shield itself. My Deluxe windshield mount was cut out of the way of the aux lamp mount.

The difference is the bracket on the lexan. It moves the shield back a little to have room for the aux. lights. Without aux. lights the bottom of the bracket is straight down and with lights the bottom is curved forward.

Yep, Bop49 is right. I compared part numbers at the dealer since I already have the detachable on my 2010 Fatboy Lo and am planning to add the light bar. The only real difference between the two windshield kits are the vertical brackets.

The bracket on the windshield is also slightly wider with the auxiliary light kit. The light kit bracket is a casting that mounts to the side of the tree, which adds width.

I know this because I had to return the first windshield.... I ordered the one for no aux. lights and it was way too narrow.
