This is the 2nd belt This is 3rd most recent like last week only had mabey total of 100 miles on it , they all looked the same way when they broke as the pictures kinda see ! Whys this happing? Please help
@Soulz76 , your first picture seems to show a bulging in the center of the belt, like a good sized rock was trapped between it and the sprocket, leading to a partial rupturing of the belt.
The second picture seems to show very few cords, making me suspect this was a weak aftermarket replacement belt that failed under the work load.

Weak belts exaggerate the effects of minor issues on belt longevity...
The thread was revived by another with their own belt breakage troubles.
Back in 2001 I was a member of a Road Star forum. Big, air cooled V twins with drive belts. Those that removed the lower guards had a much higher chance of picking up a rock that would shred a belt in two seconds.
I doubt .025" run-out would rip a properly tensioned belt in half.
Hi does any one know if a 140 tooth belt will fit my 07 ultra with a 32 t front pulley and a 70 t rear pulley stock is usually 32 t front pulley and 66 t rear pulley with 137 belt Any help appreciated thanks
