What, are you trying to make the decision even harder?? I've seen that bike before and man, those wheels do look good on there! I've checked out HDW before and I really like their Apollo wheels and spoke pulleys, but the $$$ add up fast! Damn, you've got me thinking though.
Really have no input for the wheels other than the fat spokes don't look old skool to me. But..... Love the color on your ride..
Personally I feel that the Fat Spokes do offer a somewhat Old School, Retro look. Even more so with black rims & hubs. Kind of like the new Retro Camaro & Mustang ... a modern looking, old school design. My bike is technically a 1948 replica, and I know it can pull off the old school look with the fat spokes. There's no valid reason that you can't mix them up a bit. In my case, Harley already did so by building a 1948 replica using an Evo engine
If you want old school the 16's have my vote. I really like the black PC and I'm thinking of going that route myself. I think the 40 spoke wheel look much better then the fat spokes, and the thin white walls on the 18's don't look right either. If you go with 18's they look better with black wall tires like the Ryan Reed bikes. Just my two cents..

Don't care one way or the other about spokes,or black VS chrome. But in my opinion, I don't like anything but a 16" on an FL style bike. Just doesn't look right to me & too trendy. Everybody's doing it.
I'm with dickey on this. Old school says 16". You want some meat on those wheels.

Well said! It's the wheel size that makes all the difference, with this old skool look your after! The fat spokes will just add a bit of flash! As said before!
