I stop by my dealer today and talk to the service dude about the cams,he got me a quote for 780$ OTD,this is parts and labor with out the tune, dos it sound reasonable?
---- and also he strongly recommend se-204,i ask for se-211,he respond with: it wont be a big deference the power of 211 will come lather in the rpm and passable will make more power on the top rpm, great cam if you ride freeway.
so i got one week to decide witch cams to go with,I definitely like the lower RPM power of the se204 but i LOVE the sound of the SE211......
The guy did not BS you. Good price. Did the guy ask what your riding style is? Are you planning other upgrades?
I know he didn't BS me I know this guy for a long time, and i also know that the 204 will be better cam for a stock bike, but knowing me I can not live anything alone,I more likely will get 103 in a future and so on..so if the SE211 performs as good as the stock cam down low Ill be happy, bike will run descent on the low RPMs sounds killer on idle and run strong on the top end.....
and to answer your question I do tend to ride more on the freeway 70-90 mph.
Sash, you can go with either, the 204 will come on earlier and the 211's later but also work so much better with some compression. The 211's sound tough due to duration and overlap but the same things bleed compression off. The later intake closing lowers the ccp. Both will work. you will have to make the choice. I went with 204's for my ride and still have them in it. I think they are a good all round cam.
