I have an 07 FLHPI
I too want to rake my front end enough to add a 26" wheel.

IS 3 to 5* enough to achieve that?

Would I need a neck block thing too or just adjustable trees?

I would prefer to work with adjustable so 1, I can dial it in if the ride suffers to much by decreasing the rake and experimenting, and 2. if i want to go back to stock I have that option.

Otherwise I would go with a cut and weld.

If I can find an adjustable set up that has been used by others who can talk about it I would like to do that and hear from riders with experience on this, maybe what they used where they got it who did the work or can I diy this? etc..

I just dont know where to start, there are so many different things to read about this and a ton of companies make something to rake the bikes.
Everyone has a different opinion so I am only interested in opinions of people who actually have had it done or done it themselves.

Each one says theirs is the best, and that everyone else make false claims and you will have wobble issues, etc.. so it is a bit overwhelming to me as I learn more I only have more questions.
I dont want to mess up my ride, I just want to stretch it out a bit, add a larger front wheel and enough rake to keep some decent handling and no wobble so I can still tour on it in comfort.

I need to see and hear from riders who have done this and learn what route they took to get it done and how happy they are with it.

Any help with this would be great.

My Deuce came with the pro1 5° trees. It is lowered as far as it can be in the rear and lowered in the front. I had a wobble at 50-55 but my front dunlop was about shot when I brought it home. While I had the wheel off I torgued the stem bolt and pinch bolts to per manual and it went away. Not sure if it was the bolt or tires, but rides great now.

I found tricky trees 9* rake all in the trees will allow a 26" without cutting.
Everyone is doing 9 in the neck and 9 in the trees when they do a cut and weld, I am hearing 9 in the trees is fine.
Trying to talk to others who have it, I have a pm's out to members who have it now, just waiting to hear back.

As far as i know the stock trees on the nighttrain are already 3 degrees and I was thinking of going to the 5 degree rake and want to see if this would be problem? I also realize it wont be alot different but I have to chnage the trees anyway as the chrome is peeling on the bottom stock tree and I want to go to black anyway. Plus the aftermarket makes some sick black trees with the turn signals built in so I could remove the factory lights. So has anyone put 5 degree rake on thier nighttrain and how was the ride affected? Highway and back roads? I am not a geometry wizard so the whole rake trail and what is acceptable/safe is foriegn to me.
I dropped my backend -2 and +5 with 2 inch extenders trees looks wicked and rides perfect. If you you need more here you can go with longer tubes and handle bars.

3/325 my self same times.

That's good info. 08Nighttrain posted that 11 years ago. He hasn't been active on the forum since April, 2015.
