Hey guy' s and gal' s..... Who makes aftermarket brake lines for ABS.... I' m putting on new bars and I thought magnum made them..... But I heard they don't..... I need them soon..... Oh I have 2011 fatboy lo...... Thanks for the help
I'm definitely right, all hoses are the same just the length is what you need and the fitting size for connection but that is an "an 2, or 3, can't remember right now
I talked to a major cable manufacture, and she said they don' t make ABS brake lines for Harley softails........I didn't understand myself the ends on the touring and softies look the same
has nothing to do with material, all cars have abs (almost!) and the all run rubber flex lines at each wheel. abs does not increase pressure, it just pulses it ( for a lack of a better term) and the pressure really doesn't exceed that much more that the pressure of the master cylinder itself ( actually a little bit but not a lot). you may have to make the ends with universal connectors then fit the line to the connectors, and bleed. if you don't get air in the abs unit, you can bleed it manually, I suck fluid thru with a vacuum pump, but you can pump it as long as you are careful about sucking air back into the abs pump. I would get the steel braided ones just because they do increase pressures and they look good. (they increase pressure by not expanding like rubber does, which is very little but it does do this. and look at the stock lines, they're rubber

Hi
Can You let us know how you go with this specfically how & what they have to do to reset your ABS if you can,Im struggling to understand just what it is that the Dealers do to reset the ABS after you disconnect it & seeing as I too would like to change My bars (the 2011 Fatboy lo bars suck) & I would have to ride 450kms to get them reset something Im not to keen on doing without front brakes.
Not to keen on letting the dealers change my bars either as they want AU$2300 to install Street slammers on My Lo something I could do myself for about $500.
