Anyone have clymer repair manual? How does it compare to the motoco's?

The MOCO one is way better and more detailed.

There are plenty of cheap used ones for sale on this forum in the softail classifides.

Or you can go with e-Bay.

This has been discussed over the years and it is agreed that the HD service manual is the best.

Is thirty nine bucks a good price on a HD manual?

I pickup the factory manual and parts book first. Meant for factory trained individuals, then Clymers for backup as they are good for more casual users. Either case, you can't ask questions you don't understand to a book, so the more info the better.

I have the MoCo. My friend got the Clymers. Here is my summation: The MoCo service manual leaves a lot of the details out. The Clymers has more of the details, however, the one time I looked at his Clymers, the directions for rear brake pad change was wrong. So, in short, MoCo=less detail, but correct. Clymers=more detail, but wrong process. My experience, my $.02.

I have both. Overall the HD manual is far better. The Clymer does have a few more pictures and shows some things the HD one doesn't.
