Just ordered some chrome rims and rotors, and was wondering what you guys with all these chrome rims are running for brake pads. Trying to minimize the polishing!! looking at the lyndell pads but they are a little expensive. Anyone running them or have any input on what to go with?
These Lyndall pads are supposed to be pretty good too. Check this site sponsors thread. Pretty good price, free shipping.
Lyndalls are good pads and seem to be low dust. I did have problems with them squeaking (mainly on the rear) and have heard others report the same. There is a thread somewhere abouit this. I tried the grease, filing the edges , spray, everything I could think of and they still squeaked. They sent me two or three sets and all squeaked. I was about to give up and made one more call. I finally got a hold of the resident expert, I guess, and he sent me a small bottle of "glue"? I was a light tan/yellow color and had the consistency of paste. Put it on the back plates and reinstalled the pads and never heard another squeak. I'm not saying this will happen but if it does hopefully this will save you some time.

My OEM ones with 1,800 miles would squeak in the rear too. At a busy intersection I'd get off the back and get on the front a little more so I didn't feel like one of those clunkers pulling in. lol Thanks for the heads up and the fix you received.
