Default Brake and Heel Toe Shifter Options

Aside from the HD options, is there only one custom option (Carl Brouhard Designs) out there for an extended slotted brake and shifter for the FLS models?

I bought and I am unfortunately returning the Arlen Ness setup which Is really sweet, but the brake arm doesn't fit the Deluxe or The softail line up as the vendor I purchased from listed.

I really like the CBD line but the brake and shifter without pegs is $600 and by the time you purchase the pegs and brake pedal adapter to fit their own pedal, you have another $300 in the set up.

So is the $900 option the only one out there?

Anyone have a slotted, extended pedal setup on there Softail?

When I get back to my laptop later I'll provide some links and pictures to give a better idea of what I'm looking for.

I have the PM Contour series and love them(not slotted though). They go sweet with the Trotta Floor Boards. Even though the PM Products tend to be pricey these were cheap. I think i paid like 79.00 for the shifter and like a tad bit over 100.00 for the brake pedal.

Softbrake the same people that make the lic plate relo have some nice ext slotted levers as well.

I almost pulled the trigger on the PMs but I wasn't sure about how I'd like the brake arm and the size. The ones I was looking are definitely more cost effective.

Forgot about the softbrake folks having them. I'll have to look at them again.

The thing is, with the Ness Retro boards I went with, I'm trying to find something that is comparable (not the word I'm looking for) in size or maybe will compliment the size of the 18" boards. And that will allow me to take advantage of having 18" boards so I am trying to hold out for extended pedals so I can enjoy the added foot space.

Appreciate all of your input!

Have you considered going into a custom shop and having one fabricated for you? I had a shop near me make a new break paddle and it only cost $200, that included removing and installing.

Heres some shifters. This is what I have. I got the extended shifters and gives plenty of room on the boards for your feet. No brake levers though.

Joker, thanks, I hadn't give that a thought. I know there used to be two bike fab shops in the area and I'm not sure they've survived with the economy, but it's something I'll have to look into.

Finally received a call back from a rep with CBD after leaving a voicemail yesterday to confirm you would need to purchase their adapter separately to use their brake pedal on their arm. And yes, so to use their pedal on the CBD brake arm it would cost approximately $170 for the PEG/PEDAL!

The toe/heel shifter is a beautiful piece but then just for the two pegs is another $140.

Can't really wrap my head around that now and don't what to sound as though I'm bad mouthing them, I'm sure it's quality stuff. But $310 just for the pegs and an additional $640 for the shifter and brake arm, is more than I paid for my wheels and a tad out of budget with the build I'm nearly complete with. lol

The search continues. I'm about ready to put the OE back on and ride on, but they just look so small and out of place with the floorboards. LOL

Softbrake.com does offer a decent looking brake arm, but the shift levers look to similar to the OE stuff and HD has similar available.

Right now the Performance Machine Foot Controls are at the top of my list.

I really wanted the slotted to match up with my hand controls so somebody tell me there's more options. LOL

Kuryakyn has some slotted shift arms and extended brake levers. I have those on mine and I like the quality. Just another thought.

Ive been looking at the PM myself, for $150 they are a decent deal but I keep asking myself...do I really need to replace every single part on the bike?

When doing a bolt on custom like most of ours its easy to over do it in the frenzy.
