Had my 06 heritage for 3 weeks now and put 3500km on the clock. Super comfortable after the 2009 Nightster I traded for it for (but then what wouldn't be!).
Everything about it fits me perfectly, easy to ride around town, great on the open road and that feeling of never having to push hard as there is always torque to spare.
The BS longs have a great sound, burbling along at low speeds and really throaty when the throttle is opened up. Lights are good with a good spread (not much in the way of road lighting here where I live). The clutch is light with an even take-up and the brakes are firm but progressive.
I could go on and on, but suffice it to say that of the many bikes I have owned this is the one that I love the most - a keeper!
5yrs almost to the day and the orginal battery said ("NO, ain't gonna start her anymore")
Order a new one for Battery Plus. XTAX20HL-BS made by Deka/Johnson controls..
on sale and she even give me another 10% for over 62. Total $91.44. has a 1yr warranty which is better than HD's 6 months which is $139. with tax.
Never had one from BATT +, so I'll have to see if they last.????

5 years is not too bad a run. Will be interesting to see how the Batt+ Deka works out for you. Good luck.
I am 32 and this is my 3rd HD and 4th bike. I had 2 baggers before buying my 2011 Heritage. I love this thing. Someday I will own another Roadglide, but I don't think I will ever be without a Heritage!!! I don't get to ride enough with her, but my wife actually prefers this over the RK Custom or Roadglide that I had.
I'm 43 and love my FLST. The only problem is nobody ever believes it's just a Heritage. Drives me mildly nuts. Just yesterday, a guy at a dealership told me it had to be a classic or deluxe. Couldn't be just a Heritage. Maybe a Standard?
No, it's just a heritage, the only year they made these, in 2006. In fact, there's a 2006 FLST owners group here, or used to be.
