How is this for lucky? I had been riding an old Ironhead Sportster until late last fall when the phone rang one evening. The next thing I know, a golden horseshoe fell right out of my *** as the guy on the other end of the line proceeds to inform me that I won the grand prize in a raffle that I had bought a ticket for. The prize was a 2011 Heritage Softail Classic! Silver pearl with blue pinstripes. At 41 yrs old, with 1600 miles on the clock before winter, I couldn't wipe the **** eatin' grin off my face. Day after tomorrow will be the start of this years riding season for me. I have put an engine guard, mid frame air deflector, windshield bag and a power vision tuner on it. I agree with you all that the Heritage is one sexy lookin', most comfortable, easy to ride machine. This bike has a special place in my heart as you can imagine. I will never get rid of it as obviously I was destined to have it.
I'm 63 and bought my Heritage 2 yrs ago. I didn't think I would go back to a softail after riding an Electra Glide for the past 12 yrs or so but that Heritage kept calling me back every time I went into the dealer. It fit me just right and my neighbor wanted my EG so cash in hand I bought her. Two trips out to Sturgis and couldn't be happier.
Not saying I wouldn't ever go back but right now I don't think so.Just finished the chrome lowers which aren't on this pic and thinking hard about the leather tour pak.
What I like most is the seat height and the way you sit in the saddle. Very comfortable all day ride. I've done a couple 600 mile days, one 700 & one 800 mile day.

Nice ride!!!! I like the rider backrest..... Who is it made by???? Did it mount easy???
This is her, she will have Rush slip-ons, of course ya cant see the other side but she sits there " almost naked " on the dealer floor.....she gets fat 16 in apes with all the braided lines and to make her butt somewhat more appealing to me shes getting a shorter turn sig bar in the back....

Thanks! It is a Firehouse Customs Backrest but I think they are out of business. It's too bad because it is quality made & they were great people to order from. I have heard of finding them on e bay once in awhile though. It mounts real easy using the the two existing bolts on the front seat. When I bought it I was told that it would not fit (i think 2007 & later ) because the rear seat sloped forward and they were right so I bought the pillion from the HD catalog which is slanted to the rear. It fits perfectly & is super comfortable for this old back.
I bought a Heritage back in October of last year and have been lucky with the unusual warm weather to be riding it more than regular weather permits. It's been '83 since I've rode a bike and it's been smooth sailing so far on my '05 FLSTCI...
I love the way it fits me. I tested out a Road King and a Classic and I felt the Heritage is the more comfortable scooter. I feel you fit in the Heritage, not on the bike like the others is that makes sense. Also, in my opinion, you get more of that nostolgic look with the Heritage line.
At 53 years old and moving from Chicago to a small town in southeastern Illinois, my Heritage has f=given my "mid-life" crisis a helping hand and had cured my bordem which has been on the brink of insanity!
The wife f=don't like it as much since I'm already spending $$$ on upgrades..

With the black in your paint, white-walls would look sweet.
Thanks waxer!! Just my luck. I get to likin somethin and it is either a gazillion dollars or it isn't made anymore! I have that same rear pillion for the wife so it shoulda, coulda, woulda worked for me!!! I did an Ebay and Google search. Guess you were right, they are out of business. Thanks for the info.............
