Have a couple years to go before I hit that 60 mark. I have a 2000 FLSTC and find it a great fit for my short ***! Responds nicely to mod's, both in the engine and cosmetics.Seems I'm a chromophobic though, but my powder coater is curing that!Rode non-stop(gas stops not included)from Richmond,Ky to northern Ontario and only complaint was sore shoulders. Did I mention I love my Heritage?
I just got my 5th Heritage in mid December.
Total miles on the other 4 is over 115,000.
Never had any trouble with any of them other than
flat tires. I always buy tubeless wheels for them so I can
plug a tire and sometimes I still have to be hauled in because of a flat.
I tried an '08 RK once. Absolutely the WORST riding bike
I ever had!! Made it 7400 miles with it until I traded it for an
'08 Heritage. Never again!! The Heritage fits my wife and
me very well. Only have 350 miles on the new one because of
bad weather but that will change eventually. Love that ABS!!
I am not in my 60's - actually in my mid 40's but have artificial hips and a fused lumbar spine. My 05 Heritage fits like a glove, looks like a motorcycle should - and the way it rides and handles lets me stay in the saddle as long as I choose to. They can be easily customized to fit your personality, and (as stated earlier) they don't look like everything else on the road.
It's a great ride solo and a great ride with the wife. It's a great ride in town and a great ride out on the road. Take the shield and bags off...put them back on. Just a great bike for a chrome ***** like me...
I love my Heritage because it's the bike I've always wanted. It has a classic look and handles like a dream. I'm drawn to the big front end, thick forks and the trio of lights...kinda' like a girl with big ****.
I really will agree with everybody that says you truly sit in the heritage seat compared to on top of the other seats that are out there. Besides mine was really inexpensive!
I am 50 and have a 2010...I am a short guy and it fits me perfect.. I feel like I am sitting in the bike and not on the bike like you do when you sit on others. Its great around town but me and the wife also like it on road trips. We put our travel pack on the back luggage rack and down the road we go....
Im new to riding. Took riders edge course, got my license and began test driving. The heritage was in my price range, wife liked the seat and look, I love the way it rides and handles. Love the touring capabilities with classics look (no farring).
Some people tried to talk me into getting a dyna or used metric for my first price. Then an honest sales person said get your second bike first - you can drive anything you just don't know it yet. So glad I got this bike.
I'm 43 and this has become an awesome hobby. Put 8k miles on my 2011 so far.
By far best bang for your buck of all Harley's.
