As others have said, it's a terrific bike...handles well...excellent for around town (fun without the windshield) or highway riding (WITH the windshield!). The height is just perfect, and you just gotta love that classic Harley look.

I've had mine for 12 years (I've NEVER had a motorcycle that long)
Great all around machine. Very stable. Lowest center of gravity of any of em.
Well except for maybe the new LO or the Deluxe. Cross winds . . . NOT a problem !!!
Never a problem (Well ok, turn signal module when it was brand new and two flat tires -- Knock on wood)

There are things that other models do better, in their own right. But all around motorcycle, the Heritage is tough to beat. I do want a tourer too, for real long hauls. Because they do that REAL well.

But the Heritage is so versatile

From Look A to Look B in 30 min

I love my Heritage Classic, i commute about 40 minutes each way and it provides a nice ride whether on the interstate at 85 or the back roads at 45. Fun to ride, fits me nicely.

In my eyes its the classic Harley. All around versatility and comfort be it one up or two. I may own a few more Harleys before its over but I doubt that I will own another model Harley.

I am 66 years of age and been riding for over 50 years owning many different bikes and brands. I have had 7 different gold wings, 3 ultra classics, 2 rode kings, 1 super glide, 1 street bob. I decided in Aug 2011 to get off the touring bikes, and try the Heritage, and have not been disapointed. Only 2500 miles because of weather, but we are liking it a lot. It feels like a bike that can do whatever you want to do. We will not be averaging over 15,000 miles a year, but we will enjoy this bike.

I love the look of a heritage stock or custom. To me they have the classic look perfect. Plus they are not a common as others. Out of all the people I ride with that have HDs I am the only one with a heritage and I like that.

Default Still my first love

I am 53 and rode since I was A kid. Off road, street, anything with A motor. I quit riding street in 1981, (too many close calls, all self inflicted.) Fast forward, older and Prob. no wiser, bought my 02 Heritage new. They are an extention of their rider. They handle great and are low and comfortable. I have riden it all over the country. It has quick disconects for everything so I can strip it in about 5 min. I love that bike! It's all done retro, wide whites ect... no billet anywhere. I still get lots of people wanting to ask me about it every time I stop. I just caved at A weak moment and bought A 11 CVO SG and it's an awsome bike. But I still ride the Heritage too. I don't think I could ever let it go.
