I'm 51 and just purchased my 1st Heritage this spring. I've been riding 20yrs and started with an 81 Honda CB650. Moved to a Yamaha VStar 650 before buying my first HD in 2005. I test drove a Heritage and a RKC and ended up with the RKC. The Heritage fit me better from the start but I was convinced I needed a touring bike. I had that for 4 yrs before moving up to an Ultra Classic in 09. I then broke my ankle in a little motorcycle mishap last fall and decided the Ultra was just too heavy to keep riding with a bad ankle. So I sold it and picked up my 02 Heritage. It fits me great and handles wonderfully. I do a lot of touring and pull a trailer so I'm looking forward to getting this Heritage on a trip and see how she does. As for the bike, the previous owner did a lot of upgrades. She's carburated, has SE203 cams, fully chrome front end, chrome switches/braided lines, quick detach shield, passenger backrest/luggage rack, and saddle bags. I just added a trailer hitch, passenger floorboards, and highway pegs last weekend as well as removing that awful Road Tech stereo. Now I can hear nothing but those awesome V&H Big Shot longs! The bike is still in my buddy's garage about 4 hrs from here, but hopefully I'm finally getting her home next weekend and looking forward to riding again!
Larry, I just installed Beach Bars (55967-08) on my '02. I have long arms and this is a very relaxed riding position for me. Stock bars really got to my shoulders on longer rides.

While I have been riding for 45 years, this is my first Harley. It's a 2004 FLSTCI. I came to it from a 2005 Ducati 999S, so it's quite the change. I did a few mods over the long Canadian winter and I am just going through the break-in process now, but I am liking what I see so far!
In the propulsion department I went with Bean's bore to 95ci @ 10:1 CR and street porting, the Andrews 37b cams, the SE induction mod, and V&H Pro-Pipe. This has really awakened this li'l ol TC 88.
In the whoa!! department it's a pair of 320mm BrakeTech rotors and Brembo calipers on a modified Touring Profile 17" wheel, together with +2" tubes.
On the back, I thought that the CT route sounded obtuse enough to fit.
just recently bought my first heritage after selling my street bob.
im 36 she's an 04. so far im in love. theres a few fatboys in town that imitate
her but are far from fitting her style. only dislike is that i didnt get her sooner.
New owner of 2012 Vivid Black Heritage.

Need tunes though. Looking at options for speaker system.
Anyone installed system lately?
Whats the best out there?
How many speakers?
How many watt system?
