Having ridden my 13 heritage a full riding season now I can say for certain out of all the bikes I have owned and/or ridden the heritage is by far the best all around bike I have ever ridden.
I'm 66 and have owned 23 m/cycles since age 16 and currently have 8 in my shop.
My wife actually got me into Heritages ... and back into Harleys as I haven't owned one since high school.
This turquoise one was for sale a few miles from our house earlier this year and to keep the peace in the marriage I agreed she should have it. 2005 Heritage #1:
Then, I liked riding her Heritage so much that I decided to get one for myself. I love the ride and feel of the bike + batwings are not for me. 2005 Heritage #2:
Now we're just two Happy Heritage owners who enjoy riding together.

I'm 61 yrs. young, traded in my '09 Street Bob after 3 1/2 yrs. for my '12 Heritage and I've been very happy with it...the bike just fits me well at 5' 6" tall with a 28" inseam with the stock bars and stock seat.
It has the most comfortable OEM seat that I've ever put my old *** on...
I really love my Heritage. Got it this spring. Put on a custom paint set, chrome front end, quick release bags, quick release backrest and luggage racks. Put in the Got-Saggy-Bags, liners in the bags to keep them looking new. Also it had to have the wide whites. Right now it is off getting a new digital speedo and getting new grips, housings and switch covers. It would be our only bike, but my wife loves the passenger accommodations on the Ultra a whole lot more. Since we put 15000 miles on the Ultra together this year that matters.
Just got my Shotgun Shock on a couple weeks ago...it really improved the ride and now I've got the added bonus of the lowered look. Next up are 1) LED main headlight 2) studded passenger backrest 3) yellow tinted passing lamps. Not sure if I want to keep blackwalls or go to wide whites...I want it to be a "riding bike" and I clean it enough. It never ends!

Now I gotta say, that's the most interesting tail lights I've seen.
Another Great riding summer. she's asleep now on the lift.
Got 46k on her now, only did 1 trip this summer, about 1800 miles,,
Zero probs on the trip and for the whole summer.
I did add Hi-Way pegs early summer.. (Love them) Major, Major - help for knees and hips on those 7-8-9 hr riding days.
New Commander II's I put on last fall (12) now with 7k, measured out to 1/2 gone, so looking at getting around 14k. But both front and rear are wearing the same.
And I also say I do like the Lyndal Z pads better than the HD pads.

That's strange because at 31" inseam, I could barely flat foot the bike (when it was stock). Heritage is a tall damn bike. I see a lot of people tippy-toeing these big bikes, though. That's just not safe, should you have to stop on uneven pavement or side incline.
