Alright so I'm fairly happy with my exhaust setup but I was thinking about possibly welding in a crossover pipe if I have to remove the exhaust when installing my jockey shift kit.
I'm just trying to see if anyone has ever tried it and how much low end power do you feel. Any change in sound? It's just an idea I'm tossing out. Got a bunch of little things I wanna do while I have her on the jack not going anywhere.
As a side note I have Paul Yaffe Supertrapp X pipes. The pipes cross up front and cross right by each other. If there's room I would weld the pipe in where they cross at.
i know nothing about that, but i am very interested in what you do and what people say as i am making pipes for my bike and really considering a crossover/balance pipe....the stock exhaust have them....and i was thinking it may balance things out if there ends up being a little difference in pipe length....i hope
I would think where the pipes cross a balance tube won't work good there. It does help the low end, how much I don't know. The balance tube has to be at the same place in the pipes and that would look bad IMO. If unhappy with the pipes then look for new ones is what I would do
