Interesting that it seems like yours mounts a full inch more forward than mine does on my Lo.. did you make a third bracket for the lower belt-guard hole too? I wasn't going to, but others had recommended that I do, so I just took a strip of the metal I made my plate with, bent it in to a J shape and bolted it on.. added that bit of extra stability and a little bit more peace of mind. It's ugly, but it's so low that no one can see it anyways, and even less since I painted everything black.
And yeah, if you used regular coupler nuts like I did (which you did, i just mean regular that they're not stainless or whatever).. it's a good idea to paint them (1 so they blend, and 2 so they don't oxidize or rust).. Otherwise I think it's pretty crazy that Leatherworks or whomever doesn't make these mounting plates to begin with.. especially since the damn straps (zip ties and a taped up swingarm) ate through the powdercoating on the swingarm.. really pissed me off.
I don't think I could have gone an inch back like yours Jim since it would hit my axle. I did run a third mounting location. Just cut some flat stock and used a coupler and washers instead of bending it.
I don't carry much with me, but I wouldn't mind being able to have a couple extra things on longer rides. How much do you guys put in them?.
Just for an idea of about how much mine holds (i've gotten more in to it)..
Hoodie, 2 pairs of shorts, 2 pairs of socks, a beanie cap, 2 tshirts, toothbrush, and toothpaste..basically my weekend kit, i can stand wearing the same jeans for 3 days..oh well.
Looks like you've got the same bag as mine but fot some reason yours is mounted higher? Check out my photo album pictures to see the difference in its position. I used 7071 aluminum on the inside and some heavy duty 1/4 zip ties, this distributes the load evenly on the leather and doesn't put all the stress on just that little stripe of leather.

Sgt_Jim, I appreciate your response. I have no issue wearing a a pair of pants for 3 days, so your list works for me. The amount of clothes you carry is pretty much what I was hoping for. Now I want a swingarm bag even more. I am tired of strapping stuff to my handlebar and headlight.
