So I started my leatherworks 5" solo bag mount yesterday. Used 22ga steel which I will probably replace with diamond plate eventually. Did anyone else have issues with the top left side of the bag hitting their seat when the suspension articulates? I'm guessing it's because of the ridiculously large fatboy seat which is gonna be replaced soon. I still need to do some finishing and I'm gonna paint it black with appliance epoxy.
So I ended up running an extra 1" spacer to move it 2" away from the swingarm and seat which fixed the bag hitting the seat. Here are te finished pics, unfortunately painting the couplers resulted in scratched up paint from tightening the coupler.
