Installed the delux auxillary light bar to the FB and thought I'd share my input. This Delux bar is the way to go, very nicely constructed compared to the regular auxiallry light bar.
I do have to say that the manufacturer for HD did drop the ball when it come to the fasteners, they used zinc plated bolts instead of chrome or stainless and the wiring harness(if you can call it that) was el cheapo and not weatherproof. If you're picky like me the zinc bolts will get replaced with something the compliment the chromed bar and the wiring upgraded to weatherproof, figure another $30-40.
Anyways, if you're thinking lightbar go with the delux instead of the regular.
I thought about getting the deluxe but went the cheaper route. First thing I did was measure all the bolts and washers and order replacements from AlloyBoltz. Polished Stainless Steel (SS) look very good. And unlike chrome bolts, you can't crack the plating as there is none. However, all SS fasteners need to have either anti-seize or lok-tite.
The other thing I did was order 5 feet of SS braided wire loom and high quality gray wire to run from my lamps. Since I have the cheaper version, the wiring loom comes out the bottom of the lamp housing bolt. It looks very good IMHO.
cmosentine...it was a review dood. I've had and installed several over the years and this latest is by far a much better design not to mention superior looking to the older style too.

+1 on that........same issue with the attach hardware. I went to the local Hardware store and found some polished stainless, since then I've added a fairing so all that hardware goes back in the extra parts bag! LOL
It amazed me with all the parts I've recently installed, one would think when buying replacement chrome/billet parts that the hardware that comes with it would be chrome...NOT! I guess it's just a another means for them to dip further into our wallet to make more money on an already over priced high dollar part. I forgot high dollar is what HD stands for.

Yea I agree. It's not like people don't have chrome on there Harley's. My wife donated to me a couple old buffing wheels she doesn't use anymore........now I find stainless and I take them into her studio and put a mirror finish polish on them.........better than chrome.
