Does anyone have a flush mount gas gauge that works? I'm just curious before I contact surdyke about a replacement. It seems like a lot of money for something if it doesn't work. Or maybe I've done something wrong but it seems kind of hard to screw something up that only has 3 color coded wires. lol
I've checked my wiring and it's matched up correctly but the problem I'm having is the low fuel indicator stays on, both on the console and cap and I only get 1 indicator dot on the cap gauge even when the tank is full.
I know I can ignore it and just go by mileage to determine my fuel range but like I said, it's a lot of coin just to have a flush mounted cap. But then again, HD does stand for high dollar!
I have the HD flush mounted gas gauge and cap and it works well and have no issues at all. It was a bit tricky getting the wiring hooked up on the gauge because I bent the prongs, but after that..... no issues. Really dresses up the bike and gets rid of those big hockey pucks.
I know those flush mount caps have been through several revisions. That is the only thing that has held me up on the purchase of them. I have heard about a 50-50 review on them.I am with you,if I am spending good money I want it to work period.I believe the letter at the end of the part # dictates the revesion #. EX: A was the first,B was the improved version,C was the improved version over B. Check to see what part# you have may be they sent you an older version.
