Stage 1 Tune-up Advice
Ok, my bike had stage one on it when I bought it. (big air cleaner and V&H pipes), but other than that, I don't know anything about the setup. It runs good but does seem to pop quite a bit when I decel though.
I will be taking it in to get the front tire replaced this summer, so what would be your advice to get the 'tune' checked out?

It could be any number of things that makes the popping on decel.I would start by checking to see if clamps that hold the slip-on's are tight,no air leaks around the breather & pull the seat & look to see if there is a after market type tuner. Plus there is a lot of info on this site & others pertaining to popping on decel.Trust me I have read every one of them. I have installed a Dobeck EJK Gen 111 tuner yesterday,replacing a Rev-tech DFO that was installed by me through a local shop but did not solve the popping issues so the Dobeck company volunteered to send a upgraded version @ no charge. I did not have to ask them they just responded by replacing the DFO. They also have a great help info panel of tech's to assist if needed.No I'm not affiliated with Dobeck just happy with the great service.
