I just traded in my '11 Sportster 48 for a '12 Softail Slim at Bumpus Collierville. It's getting stage 1, exhaust, and steel brake, clutch, throttle lines installed.
The best part is that my wife actually encouraged me to make the swap. I originally bought the Sporty as a second bike (our primary bike is a '10 Street Glide).
I love the Sporty, but felt I was sitting on the bike--which is probably because I'm 6'2", 175. The Slim fits like a glove, nice relaxed riding position.
As you can tell--I'm excited. Will post pics once I pick her up late next week.
I was just telling someone yesterday that the Slim looked like the softail version of the "48 look" to me, just on a full size frame. I am sure you will enjoy.

I almost went for a 48 last year I'm so glad I waited, I bought a Slim and also 6'2" and the bike fits like a bike I would have spent thousands on to get it to feel as right as the Slim does stock. Enjoy, Slim is definitely a winner!
