Default Can I do it myself? 103"

I've done every upgrade on my ride to date.

Pipes, PC V, Intake, mini-apes (including all the cables, wire extensions, etc.)

The 103" Stage II upgrade looms and its considerably more invasive than anything I did before.

I have the garage space, lift, and tools (most of em anyway)

Never dug this deeply before. How hard is it?

I could afford the parts, but definitely cant afford to pay a mechanic...

I think there's actually video tutorials online that show you step by step how to change things out.. i know there's a 59 minute long one from S&S on how to change your cams that has a ton of detail to it.. and i think i've seen one on how to change the top end, but i can't find it now.. needless to say, if you've got the space and the equipment, you could probably do it yourself, with the exception of the heads (porting i mean, if you're doing that)..those i'd send out to someone with the proper equipment to do

A long as you have a manual & take your time, it's pretty simple. Just did 98"bb cams & cam plate, adjustable push rods. Seems to run great. First time I've done it.

As long as you are not splitting cases it's a doable job..

Did my top end and cams a few years ago. Using the manual and a few forums you should have no real issues.

Just be sure to have all your parts and tools so you are not stuck at some point ordering and running around for stuff..

This is really one of those Winter projects especially if you send the Heads out for some work, there will be waiting time.

Mike.

Well there's my first question then

Do I need to send the heads out for some work?

Well, you don't but if you change CAMs then you may want to bump up the Compression depending on which CAM you choose.

In any event, depending on what your really going for you should plan it out well and do it right the first time so you are not tearing it down again anytime too soon.
