A friend of mine has a 95 Softail Fat Boy. He needs larger saddlebags for traveling. So he bought a used set of bags that were on an 06 Road King. He now needs adapters to make this work. Any one here have any suggestions? Or a set of large bags that will fit his Fat Boy? Any help is appreciated.

If your post count exceeds miles ridden...Somethings wrong.
Cycle Vision and Sumax make the brackets for softails. Cycles Visions have a cross over bar to tie the sides together. Wish I would have went for them but went cheep with another company I won't mension.
Picked up a pair from Fox Creek for a FB, nice bags. Didnt care for their quick release nor any of the others I run across since most kept the bags up snug to the fender and seat. Ended up browsing the Phat book and run across a set of brackets that let the bags hang lower and uses the strut bolt. Simple to remove, strong, sturdy, and the bags are now down where I like. Of course I had to fab an aluminum back plate for the bags and used u-bolts to clamp the onto the brackets. Little imagination and I like.
