Default Thinnest disconnect for saddlebags?

I'm going to pull the ABS Mutazu bags off my Heritage and put them on my Dyna. I run a QD backrest already, and I'd really like to be able to pull the bags off too, since I don't usually need them. The EZ Brackets work well but are so damned fat! What other methods (besides bolting!) are there to attach/detach these bags? I'm not overly concerned about security/locking.

That's the mounting kit I have with these saddlebags:

I don't want to permanently mount the bags, as I prefer running stripped, but I don't want to use quick disconnect brackets that are really fat. I don't want a huge gap between the bags and the fender strut.

Wasn't thinking, your bags are hard. Mine are leather, rest on those chrome thin bars as you can see in pic of my bike.
What about leather bags? lol sorry know nothing about the hard bags. I don't care for the look of the bags I have, real heavy thick leather, square box's. HOWEVER, as you I prefer to keep the Dyna stripped down. The leather pad under the seat has 3 key holes per side, the bags are chrome wing nuts 3 along top of bag. Each bag has a handle, suitcase.

If you are interested in a look, I will attempt a photo?

I recently sort of made my own quick-disconnect.

Some 3/8" all-thread, cut to size

A thin jam nut to hold the docking points for my detach backrest in place.

Acorn nuts (w/ washer) to hold the saddlebags on.

When I remove the bags just put the acorn nuts back on to protect you or someone from bumping into the all-thread that may have a sharp edge.

It's not necessarily the prettiest design but it works. Bags on and off in a few minutes. Cheap too.

I can post pics in a bit if you're interested in seeing it.

I ran a set of the Mutazu GA bags last year and mounted them with Edge Brackets. The bags lasted about 1500km until they started to crack where they were bolted on to the Edge Bracket. I think it was partly due to the full bags flexing as the Edge Brackets wiggled on their mounting posts. Edge brackets are a good idea, but, I don't think they're stable enough to keep a cheaply-manufactured hard saddlebag in tact. I'd suggest finding a different method...just my 2 cents.

Ok, good to know. I decided to leave the Mutazu's on the Heritage. When I got them off, the six gallon tank looked ridiculous without the bags to balance it out, and I never noticed the crappy prep work under the paint on the rear fender that the bags hide.

I may still buy a new set of the Mutazu's for the Dyna, but if I can afford it I'll go for a 'glass set. Is the 'glass strong enough to use with just the Edge brackets? How wide are the Edge brackets?
