Default What is it worth?

I've got a 2003 night train that I do no want to sell but I was in a car wreck last year and if I ride my bike to work for a few days in a row my back is killing me for the next few days. It is due to the car wreck I believe so I have been debating on selling or trading my bike in for a road king or something along those lines thinking it my help my back out. I have went to 2 dealerships and they are not wanting to give me anything for my bike. What do you guys think it is worth around? It is a 2003 night train 25k miles, 95"kit, lowered front and rear, quick detach luggage rack and back rest, 2 seats, quick detach windshield, hooker troublemaker pipes, polished sliders, and a few other goodies also.

Have you considered an air ride and different handlebars? Just a thought if you would like to keep the night train and not lose your *** in resale.

$9,600 the extras don't add value. Try selling them on your own

That's what KBB says, but I had an 05 deuce with 6k on it and only got 10 for it (only paid 9 so it worked)

If it were me I would start with some drag bars that pull back more towards you so you don't have to lean forward as much. It would be a cheaper option and might be all you need.
Shotgun Shock is the system I would go with if you decide to go that route.
Of course if you are just wanting to get rid of it and ride then a Road King is a nice option.
They have an air assist shock that's adjustable.
Good luck in whatever you decide and I hope it works out...

Well I have tried 3 different sets of risers. I have the stock 6" straight, 6 1/2" pullback, and right now I am running 9 1/2 pullbacks and they are the best so far.

http://www.wild1inc.com/
The 500 and 501 are popular drag bars on our bikes and they are 10.5 and 11.5 pullback.
Maybe 9.5 just isn't enough.
Is it the riding position that overtime just does your back in or is it the jarring of the bumps?

Alittle bit of both. If I do anything more with the bars I am going to have to change out tr cables. They will not go much furth. And I have the back lowered with lowering bolts so it is alittle rough. I have been raising the back little by little to try to find a good spot.

Those lowering bars could be causing issues. What they do when you lengthen the bolts to lower the rear they shorten the amount of travel those shocks have to dampen bumps. Yea, they look cool lowered but it takes away from the ride.
Nice thing about air... Ride nice and comfortable and when you get to your location. Let the air out, slam it down and look cool again :-)
