Default PCV Auto-tune installed

So I finally reinstalled my PCV and put the auto-tune in with it. Much better the just running a canned map! I only got out for a short run since the melting snow has a few wet spots on the road, but everything seems to be running great. I'll be able to fine tune it later on, but so far I'm very pleased. The install went pretty smooth besides trying to jam all that $hi* under the seat. Best part is that I was able to keep my 103 flash since they now have better maps to go with it, so if I ever run into trouble, at least I can just unplug it.

How would you rate your over all experience with the PCV? Also, how much was the auto-tune kit? Just curious, there is a thread PV vs PCV. PV is gaining popularity but it is expensive if you buy the PV and Auto-tune. Please let us know.

The PCV by itself I hated. Could never get it tuned in right and always had some sort of issue. With the auto-tune, it was just plug and play. I might adjust a little, but really, if that's the best the bike ever runs, I'd be more then happy. I'm sure the PV is probably better, but I already had the PCV on the shelf and wasn't gonna start from scratch, so I picked up the auto-tune from fuel moto for about under $300. I forget the exact price... Anyways, whatever you do, get the auto-tune!

Do you mean that the canned maps caused the issues? Did you have the bike dyno'd after installing the PC5 or just used canned maps. Thanks

That's great. I'm glad to see you went that way and got it worked out. Nothing worse than spending money on something to have it sit on the shelf. And I know about jamming all that stuff under the seat, that's one of the reasons I went to a PV among many other.

that was canned map issues. There are no tuners set up anywhere close to here. Either way, I think auto-tune is needed even if you have a good tuner set it up IMHO.
