Well more like flew out from underneath me. First off, I'm ok. Some muscular pain, but that's all.
I was on my way down to Fort Hood from the DFW area and stopped for gas. Filled up, stretched my legs and was about to be on my way. Started her up and was about to head out then my throttle got stuck! (And no the throttle lock was not engaged...) I did the newb thing and didn't immediately grab my clutch. I've been riding since I got back from my tour overseas.... so right around 3 weeks now I think. My throttle has never done that before. Kinda pissed about it.
So she went out in front of me and I slid on my back for about 3 feet. The bike landed on her right side. I'm looking at a new tank, new handle bars, turn signals (front and back), sissy bar, exhaust, grips, mirrors, and front fender. That's what I can think of right off the top of my head. We'll see what the shop says.
I will say, today I learned the importance of a helmet, jacket and gloves. I'll post up some pics later.
