Look at what I found on my front doorstep yesterday...If only that tail bagger would get here sooner, I could have my bike ready for Monday! Has anyone taken the RoadKing emblem off these style bags? If so, does it leave a mark?
You will have two holes from the previous RK tags. It may leave a mark if they have been used, but yours look new so there should be no fading. I sent you a PM that another forum member sent me when I put my RK custom bags on. Pretty easy to fab up a new plate. Let me know if you have any questions.
I saw that one when I was looking but I went with the cycle visions. I had to have the crossover piece because my extended fender mounts to it. My bags and fender move as a unit so the 3/16" gap between the fender and bags stays constant. Give it a try and see how it works for ya. Just keep an eye and make sure the bags arent hitting your fender. I rode mine around several weeks before I took it in for paint to make sure I didnt have rubs. So far so good....except for that tight right hander I hit last week and scraped the bottom of my right bag.
Get a flat piece of titanium and install it under the bags, that way when you scrape you can send a crapload of sparks shooting everywhere

Got it! At first I thought that was your bag. Nice job though! I think I've seen some on here that are just plain with no plates on them at all and no marks. Did you remove your RK tags? Thanks for the info btw.
