Is the bearing on the stock lower triple tree pressed on? Can it be reused or do i need to buy a new bearing? I've stripped my front end down and the bearing seems to be very firm on the shaft!

Well i'm just updating a thread i started a wile back. I ended up fitting fitting 5 degree pro one raked trees, dropped the front end 2 inches with progressive drop in springs and i have a shotgun shock installed on the back.

Well i have be riding all through the summer and the bike handles miles better than stock ever did and even over a 100mph there are no signs of any wobbles!

My conclusion...... great set up on a deuce ;-)

Not doing Calculations and going with what others may like or not like .. cost me buying Trees twice

This is my post on my 3 raked tree experience

Needless to say I have stock trees now and I love them.. generally, lowering the front end + raking the trees is an invitation for trouble unless you go Bigger wheels or increase the tubes enough to change the frame rake.

Use the online calculators , and old geometry on the bike standing straight, you will be well rewarded, unless you enjoy changing trees.

My Deuce also has pro1 raked trees, lowered 2'' and a shotgun out back. It handles great at any speed. Only thing I had to change is put stock fork oil in to replace the se I put in. Only problem I have now is sparks from my FatCat when I'm too low. If you call that a problem.

There are others with similar experience to yours and mine. There are many factors. And handling is defined differently by different people. Some thinks ramp corners some think hail gust winds some think Canyon others think city gravel. It is important for OP to find what he is going to get so he won't regret it

Andy do you have some side by side, before and after pics were we can see the difference. I am looking to do something similar to Deuce and would just like to see how it transformed your overall look.

Thanks.

Looks awesome. Now that you have that back fender on there, how limited are you on seats that will fit your bike. In other words, will a deuce seat fit anymore?

The rear fender and seat are made by Heartland, i have a second seat (Heartland also) that clips into the rear struts. Try a search on the forum for "Heartland Kits"
